Eskan Bank and Al Salam Bank Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Launch the First Technical Integration for Housing Financing Through the “Baity” Platform
Eskan Bank and Al Salam Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition to collaborate on launching the first technical integration between banking systems and the “Baity” application for housing financing. The service is scheduled to launch during the Cityscape Exhibition, making Al Salam Bank the first bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain to integrate its systems with the application. This initiative aims to enhance the beneficiary journey and facilitate faster and more seamless access to financing solutions.
Once launched, the integration will enable eligible beneficiaries to obtain a financing offer letter directly through the digital platform, outlining the key details of the financing available to them. This will help reduce the time and effort required, accelerate procedures related to obtaining housing financing, and provide a more integrated experience between housing services and banking solutions.
This collaboration forms part of ongoing efforts to develop the digital services ecosystem associated with the “Baity” application and strengthen integration between the housing sector and banking institutions. It aims to simplify the journey of citizens benefiting from housing financing programs while expanding the range of services and solutions accessible through the application.
On this occasion, Mr. Abdullah Habib, Assistant General Manager of Corporate Digital Development at Eskan Bank, emphasized that the collaboration with Al Salam Bank represents an important step toward strengthening digital integration between the housing ecosystem and the banking sector, contributing to simplifying procedures and accelerating beneficiaries’ access to suitable financing solutions.
He added that Eskan Bank continues to develop the “Baity” application into a more comprehensive platform serving citizens. He explained that the planned integration with Al Salam Bank will represent another step toward connecting financing solutions with the digital ecosystem, providing beneficiaries with a more convenient and efficient experience, while continuing to expand the partnerships and services available through the application.
For his part, Mr. Mazar Jalal, Chief Operating Officer, stated: “We are pleased to be the first bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain to integrate our systems with the ‘Baity’ application, reflecting our continued focus on leveraging innovation and digital technologies to enhance the experience of housing financing beneficiaries. Through this integration, eligible applicants will be able to obtain a financing offer letter outlining the key details of the financing available to them, reducing the time and effort required and helping them take their next steps toward homeownership more quickly and easily.”
He added: “Housing financing is a strategic priority for Al Salam Bank, and we continue to develop solutions and services that simplify the beneficiary journey and enhance its efficiency at every stage. Our collaboration within the ‘Baity’ application ecosystem builds on our efforts to deliver a seamless and integrated digital banking experience while supporting national initiatives aimed at developing the housing sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
In this context, Eskan Bank invited banks and financial institutions interested in benefiting from integration with the “Baity” application to join the initiative and make this service available to their customers seeking housing financing. This will enable the future integration of additional financing solutions into the application and expand the options available to citizens benefiting from housing financing programs.
